17th century dutch fort, walking around inside the fort, see the mansion house, Dutch church, colonial Amangala Hotel and great views from the top of the bastions. Shopping possibilities. Hindu temple and street of the goldsmiths.

Walking around market street, return via Closenburg Hotel. Unawatuna - Bay of Unawatuna. Good swimming on the long, sandy beach and a great choice of small beach restaurants.
